Tricking’ at Orlando Parkour

Tricking’ at Orlando Parkour

Now that the pandemic is starting to slow down. A lot of people are craving to be outside doing fun and new activities. Especially with their friends and family. Take a look at this crazy way to exercise outside. Orlando has brought Parkour to a whole new level.

What is Parkour?

Do you know those really cool spider man movies where the superhero jumps through hoops physically in his city to get to the green goblin? Well, think of parkour like that. Parkour is a training discipline where practitioners (called traceurs) aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment, without assisting equipment, and in the fastest and most efficient way possible. At Orlando Parkour, they help teach and show you how to increase your XMA. This practice is a full mix of martial arts and gymnastics. Parkour includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, plyometrics, rolling, and quadrupedal movement.

What is Tricking?

So, this all sounds pretty cool so far, doesn’t it? But there’s not only parkour to learn. At Orlando Parkour they also offer tricking. Tricking is a practice of not only the skills of parkours martial arts and gymnastics but also includes learning physical dance moves. Such as break dancing. It aims to achieve an aesthetic display of different combinations of “tricks”. People who master this profession are often referred to as “Trickers”.

Silk training

What did you think was all there was to offer at Orlando Parkour? Ariel silks are a beautiful and majestic way of expressing oneself. This art takes patience skill and technique. Silk training is a type of performance in which one or more artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a fabric.
