Some of the best movies of 2022 have been announced, we hope. Although 2021 wasn’t the best year of your life (maybe it was, we don’t know you personally) it was quite a great year in moviedom. Due to COVID-19, a lot of movies scheduled for 2020 were pushed back to 2021. We were lucky, not only did this provide some more time for production, but with the introduction of vaccines, we were lucky enough to be able to see them in person again. However, we did face many spoilers and that is likely to continue in 2022 and beyond. We have a lot of movies to get excited about and we will be discussing, what we hope to be, three of the best movies of 2022.
Because it’s the first day of February, most of the awesome movies we’ve been promised aren’t even out yet. Based on the hype, directors, cast, plot, etc. there are some movies that we are highly anticipating this year. Those are the movies that we will be discussing. You can use this guide as a general recommendation until these movies are released. We will keep it short and sweet because let’s face it, there are too many movies coming out this year for us to focus on all of them. These movies are so iconic that some of the movies on this list may already be referred to as “the best movies of 2022”.
Is The Batman One Of The Best Movies Of 2022…? Probably.
One movie that almost every one on the face of the earth is excited about is The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, as nature’s only flying mammal-based superhero. Robert Pattinson has blessed the world, some may say, with his starring role in the ever-popular Twilight movie series. The original vamp kid is back as Billionaire vigilante Bruce Wayne. We don’t have to wait long either, considering the release date of March 4, 2022.
Directed by Matt Reeves, we think we’re in for a treat. Matt is a seasoned director with several cinema notches on his belt. These include Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, War for the Planet of the Apes, and Cloverfield, just to name a few.
One Of The Best Movies Of 2022 Will Probably Be Legally Blonde 3
In 2001 the world was introduced to and fell in love with, Elle Woods. This bleach blonde, California, girl next door had such a bubbly personality and optimistic view of life. America and the world didn’t stand a chance. We had no choice but to tune in for countless hours to watch her tackle law school and stick it to her ex-boyfriend, Warner. Legally Blonde 3 is scheduled for release this year and although the plot is still unknown, we’re going out on a limb and betting that Legally Blonde 3 will be one of the best movies of 2022. We don’t know much about the plot but considering that Legally Blonde 1 & 2 topped a quarter billion dollars combined, we’re sure it’ll be an instant classic.
We are supposed to see Elle back on the big screen before summer. The currently scheduled release date is May 20, 2022, from what we know (Not Valentines Day). There isn’t much we’ve seen from the director, Jamie Suk. So, we’re hoping that this installment of Legally Blonde won’t suk. Instead, let’s hope that it will finish off the trilogy in epic fashion.
Top Gun: Maverick Could Easily Be One Of The Best Movies Of 2022
Alright, millennials, listen up, Top Gun may be one of the most coveted treasures of cinema ever created. If you haven’t seen it just do yourself, and us, a favor and put that on your list (and actually watch it this time). The ’80s were the pinnacle of cinema, and in 1986 we were introduced to Maverick and Goose. Two Navy fighter pilots and their teenage antics proved you don’t always have to play by the rules.
Thirty-six years later, Maverick is back! Maverick and Goose were some of the most epic fighter pilots to kiss the sky. This action-packed, nail-biter has survived the generations. Someone out there is probably in the middle of watching it right now. We’ve seen Tom Cruise in a lot of great roles throughout his career. But, none of them have been as undisputedly epic as his role of Maverick.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, we’re confident that Top Gun: Maverick will be one of the best movies of 2022. Kosinski and Cruise worked together on the set of Oblivion. Kosinski is known for other blockbusters such as TRON: Legacy. Keep your eye out for the Top Gun sequel in May of 2022.
