The Sustainability Project at The Walden School
The Sustainability Project at The Walden School has been invited to showcase their art pieces made completely out of recycled materials at Lake Concord’s Casselberry Art House.The exhibit opens April 12th and culminates with an Earth Day celebration in the park on April 27th.
The Sculpture House is open Monday through Friday 9am TO 4pm.
You are cordially invited to join us at our opening reception on April 12th between 6pm and 8pm. We would be delighted to offer you a private tour and interview our talented artists aged 5 to 17 at any time that is convenient for you, either at the park or on our Campus in Winter Park.
We are a 501(C)(3) K-12 progressive School that promotes equity, diversity, democracy, and justice in our community and Beyond. By raising awareness of environmental concerns we hope our students will become Global Citizens passionate about Making an impact and a difference in the world.
The Walden School
Orlando’s Walden School is a progressive, independent, unique, secular, private school in Central Florida, established in 2001 as a 501-c3. We have dedicated ourselves to becoming a school of the community serving students in kindergarten, elementary, and high school.
Research supports increased student engagement and learning in smaller multi-age cohorts; therefore, Walden is small by design and highly selective. As a community of learners, students are expected to be active participants in their educational pursuits and in society. Walden was established with the goal of becoming a school within, and for, the community. Promoting equity, respecting diversity, democracy, and justice in our community are essential tenets of our school’s mission.
