Orlando Is One Of The Only Cities To Get The New Vegan Crunchwrap

Orlando is one of the only cities to get the new vegan Crunchwrap. The day all plant-based food lovers have been waiting for is finally here. Hold on tight for the newest addition to Taco Bell’s menu: the highly coveted, 100% vegan Crunchwrap Supreme. Announced a few days ago, the Taco Bell creation highlights a blend of vegan nacho sauce, vegan blanco sauce, and perfectly seasoned plant-based “beef” plus the traditional toppings.

Orlando is one of only three cities that will be offering this surprise item as a test before, what we can assume, would be a national rollout. June 8 marked the beginning of the new vegan Crunchwrap. However, the vegan Crunchwrap will only be available at one Orlando location. The Taco Bell located at 11893 E. Colonial Drive will have the vegan Crunchwrap available for a limited time. Be sure to grab yours before it’s too late.

The Newest Fast Food Vegan Option

Taco Bell is undeniably late to the vegan takeover. Other fast-food chains such as Burger King, Carl’s Jr., Chipotle, and even Del Taco have been unrolling vegan options for a while now. However, we know there are plenty of people out there who could care less about Taco Bell’s tardiness and will be pulling up to that speaker box for their new Crunchwrap.

What Taco Bell Is Saying

“Such a large part of our fandom is vegan or vegetarian, and we’re as committed to them as they are to us and our menu,” said Liz Matthews, Global Chief Food Innovation Officer at Taco Bell, in a press release. “That’s why we took so long, months and years, to release something this special; we wanted and needed to get it exactly right.”

According to recent market research, there are currently over 9.7 million Americans who follow a plant-based diet. This is a huge increase from under 300,000 people just about 15 years ago.

“Our fans are always hacking our customizable menu to try new options, especially veggie-forward,” said Missy Schaaphok, Director of Global Nutrition and Sustainability at Taco Bell, in a press release. “So now we’re hacking the hack, if you will, with a product that’s completely vegan as-is, right off the menu.”
