Orlando Fringe Is Back This May| 2023

It’s that time again. The Orlando Fringe Festival is back this May. The 32nd annual Orlando Fringe Festival will begin on Tuesday, May 16, at 7 p.m. with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Orange Venue at Lowndes Shakespeare Center located near the Orlando Science Center.

Orlando Fringe Festival will return to Loch Haven Park and will be up and running through the end of May on May 29.  The 14-day immersive cultural experience features over 2,000 performances across every genre you can think of, including dance, spoken word, musicals, comedy, and many more.

One of the highlighted acts of this year’s festival is “The Glass Menagerie” by Tennessee Williams. This classic play tells the story of a family struggling to find their place in the world during the Great Depression. The production is being staged by the Orlando Shakespeare Theater and promises to be a powerful and emotional experience.

Free Festival Highlights

There are plenty of free options to enjoy at Orlando Fringe. These festivities include the Outdoor Stage music festival, Visual Fringe art on display throughout the festival area, and Kids Fringe weekends for the children or the children in spirit. This will take place between May 20-21 and May 27-28.

The main Fringe Festival will be centered in Loch Haven Park at venues at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, Orlando Repertory Theatre, and the Orlando Museum of Art.  2023 increases the festival with the addition of the new Fringe ArtSpace in Downtown Orlando which is located on Church Street.
