The UCF Symphony Orchestra is a full orchestra with strings, brass, woodwind and percussion. The group performs literature of the highest caliber by master composers.

UCF’s orchestra ensembles serve approximately 200 students from across the university through two ensembles. The program provides a musical outlet for string, brass, woodwind and percussion players throughout the university community regardless of major, as well as professional training for music education and performance majors.
The UCF Symphony Orchestra is a full orchestra with strings, brass, woodwind and percussion. The group performs literature of the highest caliber by master composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Mahler. The ensemble performs locally and regionally for various concerts and festivals and is open to all students regardless of major, but participation is by audition only, taking place at the beginning of each semester.
The orchestra presents two to three concerts each semester and serves as a major ensemble for music majors, and members receive one hour of academic credit for each semester of successful participation.
