The City of Winter Park

The City of Winter Park invites you to attend the 27th annual 4th of July Celebration which will be held on Monday, July 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park and Tiedtke Amphitheater. The event has been moved to a new location this year to allow for construction of the new Central Park main stage. The event is free and open to the public. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a morning of patriotic celebration.

The festivities begin at the Tiedtke Amphitheater behind the Winter Park Events Center, 1050 W. Morse Blvd, with opening remarks from Mayor Phil Anderson and the National Anthem. The event continues with live musical performances and patriotic music performed by the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble led by Dr. John Sinclair. Activities will also feature a Kids Zone in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park with carnival midway games, bounce slide, crafts and more hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department.

The annual bicycle parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. Children can bring their bicycles already decorated or decorate them under the Porte Cochère at the Events Center. The Electric Utility Department will sponsor FREE individual American mini pies, cookies, Kona Ice® and water (while supplies last).
