Orlando is a fantastic place to be in May. The weather is good (when is it never?), the roads aren’t too congested and the parks are quiet enough for most of the month to let you enjoy all the attractions with relatively low wait times for most attractions.

Sunset Walk Entertainment

If you are staying in one of our Disney area vacation homes, Sunset Walk is super close to you. You’ll find a great choice of eateries, a few stores and lots of entertainment.

Spring is here and we are ready for sunshine and fun around Orlando. From the return of the Florida Film Festival at Enzian Theater to multiple outdoor concerts, unique foodie events, and a day-long celebration of the arts in Downtown Winter Garden here’s our curated list of the best Orlando events during the month of May

Show Car Saturday Nights – 4-10 pm

Every Saturday, vintage cars from 1987 or earlier line up to share the love for these classic beautifies. There’s a live DJ and party atmosphere too, followed by live music.

Car & Truck Show – Sunday, May 9th, 2021 – 11 am to 2 pm

Classic cars and truck collectors from all eras showcase their vehicles. DJ Don pumps out classic rock music. Sunset Live – Fridays & Saturdays – 7-11 pm. Head to Promenade Plaza Stage for regional bands every Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 9 pm. The Market at The Promenade at Sunset Walk – Saturdays – 11.30 am – 3.30 pm featuring local Craft and Specialty Vendors from across

Central Florida Festival of The Arts

Live Music – several bars and restaurants in Sunset Walk offer live entertainment from local artists. Check the calendar of events for updates.
St John’s River Festival of The Arts

Downtown Sanford is the location for this art festival featuring over 150 artists. Along with the art show, which also boasts chalk artists, there is live acoustic music and food vendors. Some of the best artists in the country are present, some giving live demonstrations. Throw in some audience participation and you are guaranteed a great day out. Admission is free.

It’s Blueberry Season

Throughout May, you can pick your own blueberries at lots of blueberry farms all around Central Florida. Southern Hill Farms offer blueberry picking with 8 different delicious varieties.

There’s a covered playground for kids and an observation deck offering panoramic views over farmland. At weekends they offer food trucks for some local eats. Hop on the Blueberry Express, a 25-minute ride on a converted cotton picker, or head over to Southernhill Market for homemade blueberry muffins, cobbler, and blueberry lemonade.
