Love Your Shorts 2024 Film Festival showcases short films worldwide, allowing the audience to choose winners in various genres. All films screened are under 30 minutes and organized into blocks for audience voting. Block winners contend for the overall festival prize, the “Monroe,” named after Sanford’s Lake Monroe. Humble beginnings: an early screening of the festival – Founded in 2010, this festival is all about embracing and appreciating the incredible art of the short film. From its humble beginnings at the Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce building known as Monroe Hall, the festival has soared to new heights and now finds its home at the iconic 1923 Ritz Theater, one of Florida’s few remaining historic theaters.
