The Best Brunch Spots in Winter Park, Florida 2022
2022 is going to be another great year for brunch. Brunch in the south usually consists of eggs, bacon, and grits, depending on which part of the south you are in. All of these are fantastic choices. In Winter Park, and the surrounding areas, brunch has been taken up a notch and is usually presented in a more elegant manner. Strap in and put on your mimosa goggles because this list of the best brunch spots in Winter Park for 2022 is sure to make your mouth water and your stomach growl.
The Briarpatch
As one of the most iconic restaurants in Winter Park, the Briarpatch has been open since 1980. The Briarpatch is a personal favorite of ours for brunch. Whether it’s a weekend or even a weekday, the Briarpatch is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a higher end brunch. The Briarpatch is one establishment that offers a ton of traditional breakfast dishes and has done a wonderful job of adding some class into most of their plates. They put their own spin on things.
In addition to serving current American culinary thrills, the Briarpatch also offers an upper echelon spin on multiple dishes. For example, they have incorporated crab cakes into their Eggs Benedict dish. Far be it from a Floridian restaurant to leave seafood out of a breakfast dish. The Briarpatch is not afraid to push the envelope of experimentation, this is evident in their Pork Belly Waffles. The Briarpatch may offer traditional spins on classic brunch items but also turns the heat up with their more eclectic menu options such as their Breakfast Carnitas and Vegan Almond Butter Tartine. Don’t forget to order some mimosas to wash it all down. Maybe even a pumpkin spiced latte, or one of their many brunch cocktails.
Santiago’s Bodega
Santiago’s Bodega is another must go-to restaurant for brunch. Offering their brunch on the weekends, Santiago’s Bodega boasts an all-you-can-eat brunch, tapas-style, for a flat rate. The flat rate includes mimosas! When we say “all you can eat” we really mean all you can eat. I could barely move after my last visit, which consisted of a two-hour binge of crab legs and champagne.
Santiago’s Bodega offers menu options such as crab legs and prime rib. They also have made-to-order omelets on the menu for all-you egg lovers out there, and many other favorites. Santiago’s Bodega offers their brunch in two-hour windows. Two hours may not seem like a long time, but you’ll be surprised how slow the time goes by when you’re in bodega mode. If you’re a lover of brunch, and all-you-can-drink mimosas, then Santiago’s Bodega may be the perfect choice for your next “brunch and sip” with friends.
Sixty Vines
Sixty Vines was new to us last year and since then we have been back several times. We have eaten brunch all over the state but was introduced to Sixty Vines last year when they were the only restaurant willing to accommodate a reservation for a party of more than 10. First off, this is some of the best service we have ever received. Our waiter was fantastic and offered unmatched service to our party, without assistance. Their California atmosphere, inspired by wine country, offers comfort and sophistication not easily found elsewhere.
The open kitchen design exhibits a great use of space. The seasonal cuisine offered by Sixty Vines shows that they can do California justice even on the East coast. Their Egg White and Goat Cheese Frittata (excellent choice), Avocado Eggs Benedict, and Cabernet Brunch Burger are proof of this. Their smoked bacon isn’t too shabby either. All in all, we can say that for sure that we will be back to Sixty Vines in 2022.
Peach Valley Café
Peach Valley Café is one of our absolute favorite restaurants with a brunch menu that is to die for. Whether you lean more towards sweet or savory, Peach Valley Café offers it all in their extensive menu. Their mimosa options also make sure that everyone on a liquid diet is taken care of. You can’t get much better bacon than at Peach Valley café. This hardwood smoked, thick cut, bacon is what dreams are made of.
If you lean towards a more traditional brunch, Peach Valley café offers you dishes in spades. They have multiple egg dishes, traditional breakfast meats, and dishes like their Kick Hash Breakfast which combines a potato hash and roast beef. Fresh fruit, salads, and wraps make Peach Valley Café a well-rounded eatery that is a force to be reckoned with in the breakfast world. Don’t worry, they’ve got you sugar addicts covered too. Peach Valley Café has sweeter options such as Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Very Berry Stuffed French Toast, and their famous, house-made, Peach Cobbler.
