Team Market Group Shares Vision For Thornton Park’s Graffiti Junktion Building
Team Market Group (TMG) has unveiled exciting plans for the Graffiti Junktion building in Thornton Park. After acquiring the property in November 2022, TMG allowed the burger joint to remain open for a few more years. However, by late July 2024, owner Greg Peters decided to close Graffiti Junktion with two years left on the lease.
TMG is now gearing up to launch a new concept called “June” by the end of 2024.
“It’s the essence of Yucatan with Asian influence. The name is unique in that it is unrelated to the experience offered but draws inspiration from my favorite time in Tulum, when sea turtles nest on the beach. I’ve dreamed of creating something like this and I’m thrilled to bring this new concept to life,” TMG co-founder Daniel Mawardi told local sources.
From Graffiti Junktion To June
TMG’s chefs, Jason Campbell and Nick Grecco, are crafting a menu for June that combines Tulum resort-style dishes with Asian flavors. “We’ll offer a full-service restaurant featuring small and large dishes, from raw seafood to grilled meats and vegetables, in an environment similar to our sister concept, The Wellborn,” Mawardi explained.
The menu will showcase a variety of dishes, capturing the culinary essence of both Yucatan and Asia, promising a unique dining adventure. The transformation of the Graffiti Junktion building into June signals a new beginning for TMG, aiming to create a captivating dining destination.

As the end of 2024 draws near, excitement is building for the opening of June. With its fusion of Yucatan and Asian influences, June aspires to offer a one-of-a-kind dining experience in Thornton Park. The new restaurant will provide a lively atmosphere where guests can savor thoughtfully prepared dishes, honoring the legacy of Graffiti Junktion while introducing a fresh, innovative concept.
