Taste of Thornton Park: Savor Local Flavor and Support the Community
The 23rd Annual Taste of Thornton Park returns Thursday, November 7, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., hosted by the Thornton Park Neighborhood Association. This cherished event is a local favorite, serving as the area’s largest fundraiser and gathering locals for an evening of food, drinks, and celebration.
The Taste of Thornton Park plays a vital role in supporting community landmarks, including the iconic Four Rivers Fountain at the corner of Washington Street and North Hyer Avenue. Inspired by the Fontaine de la Place Louvois in Paris, the fountain represents four major rivers of France. Proceeds from the Taste of Thornton Park help maintain the fountain, host an annual Easter egg hunt, create quarterly newsletters, and fund other community projects.
What to Expect at Taste of Thornton Park 2023
This year’s Taste of Thornton Park will transform the streets around the fountain into a lively neighborhood celebration. Attendees can enjoy unlimited food and drinks, generously provided by popular local restaurants, showcasing the delicious variety of Thornton Park’s culinary scene.
Along with the food and drink offerings, the Taste of Thornton Park will feature a live DJ to keep the festivities lively. An awards ceremony will also take place, recognizing individuals who contribute to the community’s vibrancy and spirit.
