Storyville Coffee Proposes Debut East Coast Venture In Winter Park

The renowned Seattle-based Storyville Coffee is advancing plans for its inaugural east coast establishment in Winter Park, subject to conditional use approval. The coffee company intends to establish its presence beside the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation headquarters at 111 S. Knowles Ave.

Z Properties Group, Inc., acting on behalf of Storyville Coffee, is slated to introduce a proposal for an 11,280-square-foot, three-story building during both the April 2 Planning & Zoning Board meeting and the April 24 City Commission meeting. The proposed layout envisions the first floor hosting a retail/restaurant/coffee shop, the second floor designated for office space, and the third floor earmarked for a residential unit.

Storyville Coffee Wants To Take Over The Imperial Building

The envisioned building, falling under the C2 Commercial zoning category, seeks approval to replace the existing two-story property at 111 S. Knowles Ave., the former home of The Imperial Winter Park. The well-regarded furnishings retailer and live music venue concluded its five-year stint at 170 E. Morse Blvd. in October but anticipates reopening at a new Park Avenue location this summer.

Storyville Coffee, renowned for its artisanal coffee line and accessories, currently manages two locations in the Seattle region, with its Bainbridge Island, Washington roasting studio recently closing. Despite outreach, both Storyville Coffee and Z Properties Group, Inc. have chosen not to comment on the matter.
