Rion’s Ocean Room Brings Hawaiian-Inspired Flavors to East End Market
Rion’s Ocean Room, the latest venture from Domu founder Sonny Nguyen, has started its soft opening in Orlando’s East End Market. This one-of-a-kind spot serves Hawaiian-inspired dishes with an Asian twist, open daily from noon to 6 p.m., or until they sell out.
A Unique Two-in-One Dining Experience
Located in the former Skyebird Juice Bar space, Rion’s Ocean Room shares its location with Gyukatsu Rose, a Japanese eatery known for crispy fried wagyu cutlets. Rion’s Ocean Room specializes in poke by the pound, offering up to 12 varieties, including spicy, shoyu, and classic Hawaiian flavors. Customers can enjoy their poke with a choice of plantain chips, tortilla chips, or rice, creating a customizable meal.
Nguyen’s Small Food Group Expands Orlando’s Food Scene
This new concept is part of Sonny Nguyen’s restaurant collective, Small Food Group, which aims to bring unique dining experiences to Orlando. Known for beloved spots like Domu, Tori Tori, and Edoboy, Nguyen brings creativity and expertise to Rion’s Ocean Room, blending Hawaiian authenticity with Asian influences.
Rion’s Ocean Room will be in its soft opening phase through mid-November, inviting locals to experience its distinctive flavors. It’s a perfect destination for fans of fresh, flavorful poke and anyone seeking a unique twist on traditional Hawaiian cuisine.
