Quicksand Wine Bar Coming to Mills 50 This Year
Heather LaVine, the owner of Baldwin Park’s Golden Hour Wine, is expanding her influence in Orlando with the opening of Quicksand Wine Bar in Mills 50 later this year. This new spot will specialize in natural wines, offering a cozy and intimate setting for guests to relax and savor wines made from organic, pesticide-free, and biodynamically farmed grapes.
A New Chapter in Orlando’s Wine Culture
Building on the success of Golden Hour, Quicksand Wine Bar will be a natural evolution in LaVine’s journey. While Golden Hour primarily operates as a retail shop, Quicksand will focus on being a full-service wine bar. The idea for Quicksand was inspired by the community that developed at Golden Hour, where customers often found themselves lingering longer than planned, enjoying the atmosphere and conversations. Quicksand aims to capture that same spirit by providing a dedicated space where people can truly immerse themselves in the experience.
What Awaits at Quicksand Wine Bar
Located at 1903 E. Colonial Drive, next to Educe Salon, Quicksand Wine Bar will feature a selection of natural wines paired with a small, thoughtfully crafted menu of Eurocentric wine bar snacks. Expect offerings like olives, specialty cheeses, charcuterie, and the trendy tinned fish—perfectly complementing the bar’s wine selections.
With seating for around 14 guests, Quicksand Wine Bar will offer an intimate environment that encourages guests to unwind and enjoy the company. Despite its modest size, the bar will be a welcoming space designed for those who appreciate great wine and good conversation.
As the opening date draws near, LaVine invites wine lovers to follow @quicksandwine on social media for updates. Be on the lookout for the grand opening of Quicksand Wine Bar in Mills 50, where you can soon enjoy a unique and cozy wine experience in one of Orlando’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
