Palm Beach Meats: A New Shrine Of Japanese Beef In SoDo This Fall
Palm Beach Meats will unveil a shrine of Japanese beef in SoDo this fall, bringing the exquisite taste of premium wagyu to Orlando. This exciting addition will occupy the former Hungry Pants location at 3421 S. Orange Ave.
Palm Beach Meats: High-End Japanese Beef Arrives In SoDo
Known for its coastal roots, Palm Beach Meats is set to offer Orlando a curated selection of the finest beef cuts. Enthusiasts can indulge in a variety of high-end Japanese wagyu, including Kobe beef, Matsusaka, Ōmi, Takamori, and Bushu. The shop will also feature Australian and domestic beef, catering to a wide range of preferences.
Eric and Meghan San Pedro, the owners moving from Palm Beach, have big plans for their new Orlando venture. They will host special events, chef collaborations, and monthly steakhouse nights to showcase some of the world’s most prestigious beef.
“We’re one of the few places in the state licensed to sell Kobe beef,” Eric San Pedro notes, “and the only establishment in the U.S. permitted to sell it in a retail, wholesale, and restaurant setting.” This distinction makes Palm Beach Meats Orlando the first and only spot in the city certified by Japan’s Kobe Beef Marketing & Distribution Promotion Association.
Selection Of Premium Wagyu
In addition to Kobe beef, customers can expect other top-tier Japanese brands such as Matsusaka, Ōmi, Takamori, Nagasaki, Shinshu, Shimane, and Bushu. These rare and exquisite varieties will be available alongside more widely recognized options like Miyazaki, Kagoshima, and Hokkaido.
Eric San Pedro has a special connection to Bushu beef, having visited the family-run Hasegawa Farm in Saitama Prefecture. “We spent a day with the Hasegawa family, witnessing the care given to their cows,” he recalls. “The experience felt almost sacred, as we already adored their beef.”
More Than Just Beef
Palm Beach Meats Orlando will also offer a range of non-beef products, including Iberico pork, Kurobuta pork, game sausages, and Poulet Rouge chickens. This diverse selection ensures that all patrons can find something to savor.
With the grand opening of Palm Beach Meats this fall, Orlando’s food scene is set to elevate, providing locals and visitors alike the chance to experience world-class Japanese wagyu and other gourmet meats.
