Orlando’s Top Holiday Lights 2023
This means breaking out the eggnog, Christmas movies, and festive tunes. It’s also a great time of year to enjoy the area’s holiday lights and decor. Here’s a guide to finding some of the best of Orlando’s holiday and Christmas lights displays.
ICE! at Gaylord Palms Resort
The weather forecast this Christmas at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee calls for a high of 9 degrees, with a 100% chance of ICE! In ICE! featuring Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, guests step into an arctic attraction – kept at a frosty 9 degrees – into a wondrous world of larger-than-life, hand-carved ice sculptures.
Dinos In Lights Festive Holiday Show
Sunday, November 5 – January 3, 2023
Orlando Science Center
This small display is not as major as the others on our list, but still, it’s worth mentioning. The Dinos In Lights Festive Holiday Show takes place in one exhibit and does not encompass the entire Science Center.
Stan the T-Rex and his fossil friends in DinoDigs are part of a festive display of music and light. Each family-friendly show will run for four minutes.
This dazzling light show is included in general admission.
Shows begin every 30 minutes between 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily.
Included in regular admission to the Science Center, $24 for adults, $22 for seniors and students, and $18 for youth (ages 2 – 11).
Lake Nona Lights
November 24 – December 31, 2022
East Park Sub-divison of Lake Nona (Look for 9800 Old Patina Way)
Now celebrating its 10th consecutive year, this neighborhood lights display dazzles with lights synchronized to music in an impressive ongoing nightly show. Opening night is Thanksgiving night at 6pm. The show runs nightly from 6-10pm (Sunday through Thursday) and 6-11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. FREE
Winter Wonderland of Lights (Drive-Thru Christmas Lights in Winter Springs, Florida)
Another aptly named town near Orlando goes out of its way to bring winter-time cheer to residents!
Now Snowing Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 26, 5pm – 9pm. FREE magical event with Santa’s arrival, the first “snow” fall, tree lighting, and carolers. Holiday lights and experiences throughout the month include live performances, “snow” falling nightly every hour, horse-drawn carriages, train rides, a synthetic ice rink, and a Santa meet and greet.
Dazzling Nights
November 25, 2022 – January 1, 2023
Leu Gardens: Harry P. Leu Gardens, 1920 North Forest Avenue, Orlando
Orlando’s 50-acre Harry P. Leu Gardens will transform once again into a stunning, winter wonderland featuring a million dazzling lights, shining forests, magical displays, music, and beautiful sculptures. Purchase tickets online and in advance. Adults $25, children ages 3-13 $22 (under 2 free). On-site parking is available for $12. Complimentary parking and a shuttle will be provided off-site at Audubon Park School.
Night of a Million Lights
November 12, 2022 – January 11, 2023
H2o Water Park, Kissimmee
The Night of a Million Lights is at a new location but with the same mission — to raise awareness and money for the Give Kids the World Village. Experience a dazzling winter wonderland with more than 3 million lights, entertainment, and holiday treats. Tickets start at $30 per adult and $15 per kid. Must be purchased in advance. Holiday and peak times are more expensive.
