New Rock-Climbing Gym Takes First Steps In Packing District
A new rock-climbing gym in the Packing District has officially broken ground, bringing excitement to the Orlando climbing community. Dr. Phillips Charities recently announced that High Point Climbing and Fitness has received its building permit and has begun construction on its state-of-the-art facility in Lake Fairview.
Rock Climbing Gym To Transform Packing District
We’ve long anticipated the arrival of this 45,000-square-foot rock climbing gym, which is part of the $700 million Packing District development. Tennessee-based High Point Climbing and Fitness is spearheading the project, converting a warehouse at 1978 Stanhome Way into a premier climbing destination.
The gym will boast a 55-foot rope climbing area featuring Florida’s only competition speed wall, making it a significant addition to the state’s climbing scene. Additionally, climbers can look forward to a spacious bouldering and training area designed to cater to all skill levels.
High Point Orlando: A New Hub For Rock Climbing
High Point Orlando will also offer a dedicated 4,000-square-foot Kid Zone, equipped with specialty climbing elements to engage and inspire younger climbers. This kid-friendly area ensures that the gym will be a family-friendly destination, fostering a love for rock climbing from an early age.
The facility’s diverse features aim to provide a comprehensive climbing experience, whether you’re a seasoned climber or a beginner looking to try something new. With its blend of advanced climbing walls and beginner-friendly zones, High Point Orlando is set to become a central hub for rock climbing enthusiasts.
Opening In Spring 2025
The highly anticipated rock-climbing gym is expected to open in the Spring of 2025. As construction progresses, excitement continues to build within the Orlando climbing community. High Point Climbing and Fitness promises to deliver a world-class facility that will elevate the local climbing scene and attract climbers from across the region.
With its innovative design and extensive amenities, the new rock-climbing gym in the Packing District is poised to become a landmark destination. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself on the competition speed wall or enjoy a fun day out with the family, High Point Orlando will offer something for everyone. The opening of this facility marks a significant milestone for rock climbing in Orlando, setting the stage for a vibrant and dynamic climbing community.
