“Vanities,” by Jack Heifer, is a poignant comedy-drama capturing the lives of three Texan girls: Joanne, Kathy, and Mary. From vivacious cheerleaders in 1963 to uncertain young women in college five years later, and finally, to a strained reunion in 1974, their friendship evolves amidst diverging paths and faded camaraderie. Open Auditions for Rodger & Hammerstein’s Cinderella

Directed by Barb Kellar for the Ritz Theater in Sanford, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella centers on a girl who dreams of a chance to go to the ball. Although there are many obstacles to overcome, she hopes she will get a little help from her godmother who thinks she wishes too much. Family Movie Classics: The Secret Garden & Food Drive

The Secret Garden is a story of a young girl named Mary Lennox, who is orphaned in India and sent to live with her uncle in England. She discovers a hidden garden that belonged to her late aunt and befriends her sickly cousin Colin and a local boy Dickon. Together, they restore the garden and heal their own wounds. This is a free movie. Be sure to bring a canned good item for Seminole County Schools’ Foodbank.

Seminole State College Spring Jazz Night

Calling all Jazz enthusiasts. Seminole State College presents the SSC Jazz Ambassadors Big Band, Seminole Sound Choral Group, and Jazz Combo in concert for a night of jazz. Led by band director, James Smisek and choral director, Dianna Campbell, the ensembles will be performing both classic and contemporary compositions for your listening pleasure. Ritz Charity Bingo

Have fun and support the Ritz Theater at our monthly Bingo held at Dees Brother’s Brewery across the street from the theater. We have fun prizes, a 50/50, and of course, great food/drinks are available for purchase. We play 4 rounds of regular bingo and one 50/50 game. The price for the regular games is $20 for 24 bingo cards (you can play as many cards as you like in each game). The 50/50 bingo cards are sold separately for $5 each.

Brand New Day: Tribute to Sting & The Police

Led by Todd Plant, a seasoned singer/musician with a chameleon-like voice, this tribute band delivers an unforgettable performance honoring both the Police and Sting’s extensive catalog. With Butch Thomas, Sting’s former sax player, they faithfully recreate diverse musical styles, spanning from reggae-tinged new wave to jazz and pop. Plant, known for his mastery of tribute bands, has tackled a wide array of iconic artists, ensuring an engaging experience for audiences.
