King Bao to Close Winter Park Location by Month’s End
Orlando’s beloved bao destination, King Bao, has announced that its Winter Park location on Fairbanks Avenue will close permanently on Saturday, December 28.
Farewell to King Bao in Winter Park
In a message shared on Instagram, King Bao explained, “After much thought and consideration, we’ve made the decision not to renew our lease at our Winter Park location. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who supported us along the way.”
Although this closure marks the end for the Fairbanks Avenue spot, King Bao enthusiasts can still enjoy their favorite steamed bao buns at the Mills Avenue and East Colonial Drive locations, which will continue serving their signature dishes.
King Bao’s Future Remains Bright
The closure of the Winter Park location is part of a larger trend this year, with several popular Orlando eateries like Hamburger Mary’s, Doshi, and Pom Pom’s Teahouse and Sandwicheria also shutting their doors. Despite this, King Bao’s remaining two locations remain strong and are committed to serving their loyal customers.
King Bao took the opportunity to thank its supporters, stating, “Your loyalty and patronage have meant the world to us. Please continue to support our other two locations.”
Known for its innovative Asian-inspired flavors, King Bao has become a staple in the Orlando food scene. Favorites like the “Hogzilla” and “Kickin’ Chicken” have made the restaurant a must-visit for bao lovers seeking bold and delicious combinations.
While the Winter Park closure is bittersweet, King Bao’s dedication to its customers ensures that its Mills Avenue and East Colonial Drive locations will continue to provide the same great food and service.
