Gaylord Palms Holiday Events 2021 – 2022
There is no better way to celebrate the holiday season in the Orlando, FL area than gathering your family for holiday fun during Christmas at Gaylord Palms.
Save Christmas featuring Elf
“Mission: Save Christmas featuring Elf” will have guests help Buddy the Elf muster enough Christmas cheer to help power Santa’s sleigh. The attraction will feature more than a dozen interactive elements, including a virtual snowball fight in Central Park.
Get The Green Guy!
Take part in an epic virtual snowball fight in NYC’s Central Park! You’ll have “snow” much fun testing your aim physically throwing faux snowballs at moving targets and taking a crack at the snowball cannon inspired by Buddy’s incredible arm. Over in the resort’s atrium, there will be a new light show called “Shine Light Show.” The show will feature thousands of upgraded lights synced to a seasonal soundtrack.
Other activities in the Christmas at Gaylord Palms lineup include ice tubing and snowball building at the Snow Factory, a Christmas tree trail, themed scavenger hunts, story time with Mrs. Claus and a photo op with Santa Claus. Guests can also experience Three Kings Festival in “The Journey of Los Tres Mago” or the birth of Jesus in the musical stage show “The Greatest Story.”
ICE Exhibit
The ICE exhibit at Gaylord Palms will not take place this year. This year, the ICE exhibit will face the same challenges as last year regarding COVID-19 travel restrictions for the international artisans. We’ll keep an eye out and let everyone know when the ICE exhibit returns.
Cirque: Spirit of Christmas
Another new experience for 2021, Cirque: Spirit of Christmas an acrobatic Christmas themed show that is free to hotel guests and visitors. This amazing show is held in the main atrium adjacent to Emerald Bay and runs several times per day.
The hotel is now charging to view this show which differs from prior years. Prices for seating are from $19.99 per adult and $13.99 for children ages 4 to 11. Tickets must be purchased in advance and only for one single time slot.
It should be noted that the 1:00 PM shows that are held on November 19, 26, 29-30 and December 1 -3, 6-10, 13-17, 24 and 31st have free “Stand by Seating” but premium, elite and preferred seating is available for an additional charge.
Gaylord Palms Shine Light Show
All new for 2021, Shine Light Show is shown in the main (St. Augustine) atrium which all that guests will need to do is look up to enjoy. Shine is a Christmas themed light and music show that is free to hotel guests and visitors.
Gingerbread Corner
Don’t wait — make a date to decorate! Let your Christmas creativity run wild when you adorn your gingerbread house or cookies. After you’ve reached confection perfection with your edible art, head over for a sweet meet-and-greet with Nutmeg, our very own gingerbread man.
