Soprano Marnie Breckenridge headlines Opera Orlando’s annual Summer Concert Series on August 13 at the University Club of Winter Park. Ms. Breckenridge and pianist Robin Stamper will present Art Is Calling for Me, a concert of classical arias and popular tunes sure to enchant Opera fans and summer concertgoers. Also for this concert only, audiences will be treated to an exclusive 2023-24 All for Art season presentation by the Company’s general director Gabriel Preisser and artistic director Grant Preisser.
Robin Stamper, conductor and pianist, is currently the artistic director and chorus master for Opera Tampa. His credits include director of music for the Kentucky Opera where he made his conducting debut with The Mikado. Subsequently, he was artistic director for the Nevada Opera, where he conducted mainstage productions of The Marriage of Figaro, The Barber of Seville, Lucia di Lammermoor, and Rigoletto. Mr. Stamper has also served as music director for the previous Orlando Opera Company and Orlando Opera Chorus. He also served as artistic director for Florida Opera Theatre prior to its re-birth as Opera Orlando.
All Summer Concert Series performances take place at the University Club of Winter Park, located at 841 North Park Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32789.
