Struggle. Triumph. La vie bohème. Broadway’s pop cultural phenomenon Rent inspires all over again with a cast of college performers in Dr. Phillips Center’s Summer Production.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT has earned its place in the pop culture canon with songs that rock and a story that continues to resonate with audiences of all ages.

College performers apart of Dr. Phillips Center’s Summer Production present RENT. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT has become a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that has resonated with audiences of all ages. Based loosely on the Puccini opera, La Boheme, Jonathan Larson’s RENT follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. Join us for a journey of love, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams in the face of adversity.
