Plant This, Not That! at Audubon Park Covenant Church Come join Interfaith Environmental Alliance of Central Florida for an afternoon of plant education!
Wondering what to plant in your garden next? Wonder no longer!
Come join us for an afternoon of Florida Native and Florida Friendly plant education! For the first hour we’ll learn about invasive species and how to reduce their damage from local author and expert Tina Mcintyre. Tina wrote the book: Plant This Not That: A Guide to Avoiding Invasive Plant Species in Florida.
For the second hour, we’ll tour the church gardens and brainstorm about ways to enrich our private and public spaces through gardening and plants.
Everyone is welcome!
This event will be both in person and live online.
This event is hosted and sponsored by the newly formed Interfaith Environmental Alliance of Central Florida. To get involved, reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The members of the Interfaith Council of Central Florida, though highly diverse, strongly agree about the power and potential of religion. We recognize that religion can be a powerful catalyst for love, liberation, enlightenment, personal growth and social progress–even though it is also sometimes used to manipulate, control and trespass against our neighbors. Throughout history, religion has been associated with profound good as well as with vast evil. Groups are like individuals in that they aren’t totally good or totally bad. There are heroes and villains in every race, creed, color, and nationality. We need to cease attributing everything good to our group and everything bad to their group. The Interfaith Council seeks to create a better, more peaceful, more harmonious community by encouraging and facilitating greater interest in our region’s many faith traditions, along with understanding, respect, and cooperation among them.
