New Works by Mimi Hwang and Marlene London – Kristy Lee is excited to showcase two dynamic Central Florida artists presenting together for the first time.
Mimi Hwang is an Asian American artist known for her abstract expressionist paintings. As an ode to her heritage, she seeks to create a contemporary visual expression of her Chinese ancestry and Western Birth. Mimi hopes her art elicits your expansive emotions and displays a sense of strength, elegance and playful intelligence within the compositions.
Marlene London has been painting for over 30 years and has always been aggressive about pursuing excellence. Marlene has traveled extensively, where she was greatly influenced by her exploration of the arts and her cultural experience. From these experiences and studying other diverse artists, she has developed her own approach to her mixed media work, marrying layers of paint, wax, pencil, ink, stamps, exotic papers and charcoal.
