Mid-Florida Milers Walking Club is hosting a walk on September 21st, 2024 at The Villages, Lake Sumter Landing. Both 5K and 10K walks take you past numerous golf courses providing views of Cherry Lake/Lake Sumter, Sumter Landing Town Square, residential areas and gardens. Our walks are open to the public, for all fitness levels and all ages.
Start/Finish: The Waterfront Inn

Register and begin walking any time between 9:00-9:30 am
NOTE: Please no parking in lot in front of hotel
Choose from: 10K (6.2 miles) or 5K (3.1miles), walking at your own pace. Printed directions with map are provided. PLEASE CARRY WATER.
Fee: $4 for all walkers. Free for walkers 12 or younger who do not want walk credit.

The Mid-Florida Milers (MFM) is a walking club that promotes a positive and active lifestyle through walking 5 kilometers and 10 kilometers (3 and 6 miles) events. Milestones are celebrated by a pin, patch or certificate for each level of event or distance achieved. Walking 5 kilometers or 10 kilometers is a great way to improve your fitness, explore parts of Central Florida and is doable since you walk at your own pace.
We host self-paced walking, and sometimes biking events, in the Greater Orlando area for people of all ages. Our goal is to provide walks that encourage you to keep walking, are fun to walk and allow you to meet new friends.
