History.
In honor of Black History Month, the Orange County History Center will be screening Long Time Coming: A 1955 Baseball Story, a documentary that tells the story of the first integrated little league game that was played in Orlando in 1955. This film will be played during Third Thursday in our Linda Chapin Gallery on February 17th at 6 p.m. Visitors can also see a few pieces of Highwaymen artwork, including a Highwaymen photo stand up, and the history center’s Black History exhibition.
Parking:
The Downtown Arts District is offering visitors validated parking at the Plaza Garage (127 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32801), for $4. This will cover up to eight hours of downtown parking on event days. There are some exceptions when major sporting events are held in downtown Orlando.
