City Food Hall To Bring New Dining Options To Ivanhoe Village This September
City Food Hall is gearing up to debut in Ivanhoe Village this September, introducing an array of new dining experiences to the neighborhood. The food hall will be located at 1412 Alden Road, occupying the space that was formerly home to the Hall on the Yard.
Fresh Eateries At City Food Hall
City Food Hall will feature several innovative eateries, thanks to a collaboration between Danilo’s Pasta Bar chef DJ Tagalin and Soseki’s Michael Collantes. The lineup includes Chez Les Copains, a French brasserie serving classic dishes; Asin, a Filipino chef’s tasting counter; and a newly reimagined version of Collantes’ Taglish, with an updated menu crafted by Tagalin. Other vendors joining City Food Hall include Ramen Takagi and EggDose, adding even more variety to the dining options available.
City Food Hall Revitalizes Former Hall On The Yard Space
The space that City Food Hall will occupy has a recent history as the location of the Hall on the Yard, which closed earlier this year. The closure followed a legal dispute with the landlord over nearly $250,000 in unpaid rent. The Hall on the Yard’s parent company filed for bankruptcy in July 2023, and despite being served notices, rent payments were not made, leading to the eventual closure of the food hall. The previous establishment featured nine food stalls, five event spaces, and three premium cocktail bars.
City Food Hall’s upcoming opening marks a new beginning for this prime spot in Ivanhoe Village. With its diverse lineup of eateries and innovative culinary concepts, City Food Hall is poised to become a vibrant destination for food lovers in the area. The much-anticipated opening is scheduled for late September, offering locals and visitors alike a taste of French, Filipino, and other global cuisines.
As City Food Hall prepares to open its doors, Ivanhoe Village can look forward to a revitalized dining scene, with an exciting mix of flavors and experiences that will make it a must-visit culinary destination.
