Airport Lanes to Celebrate Grand Reopening With Community Events

The lights are back on, the pins are set up, and all that’s missing are the bowlers. Airport Lanes in Sanford is back open and ready to welcome the community.

The longtime Sanford entertainment center will be celebrating with Grand Reopening events Feb. 2-4. The venue was forced to close its doors in November after struggling with power surges that shut down the house and ruined equipment.

“We could not be more thrilled to open again to the Sanford and Lake Mary communities that have always supported us,” said Jennifer Halpern, Aloma Bowling Centers COO. “It was a long road, but we are so happy to have our employees back, our business ready, and to see our guests again.”

Airport Lanes will offer a new scoring system to allow guests to play multiple different fun and interactive games, as well as drinks and bites to order. It will also have Simon Time trivia on Mondays, Open Mic Thursday Nights and Latin Nights on Saturdays, in addition to daily deals guests can see here.

The Grand Reopening Weekend

The Grand Reopening weekend will feature a VIP reopening ribbon cutting on Friday, followed by a community party on the lanes, which will continue all day Saturday. On Saturday, the bowling center will offer $20/hour/lane bowling, $1 hotdogs, $1 popcorn, $2 slushies and adult drink specials. There will also be giveaways and a raffle with proceeds benefiting Angels of Mercy Ministries. There will be free face painting from noon to 5 p.m., and the center’s beloved Latin Nights will return at 8 p.m. Sunday will be for the bowlers. The center will have a High Altitude Singles Tournament, with youth starting at 8 a.m. and adults at 1 p.m. The center is open from noon to midnight Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. It is located near Orlando Sanford International Airport at 190 East Airport Boulevard in Sanford.
