Come celebrate in the best Florida version of German Style complete with German food & Entertainment, Chicken Dance, Dachshund Dash races, Pretzel eating Contests, Polka Band, Schulplattler Dancers, and much much more at the Winter Parktoberfest – 1st Annual Winter Park Oktoberfest.

Welcome to our VERY FIRST, Winter Parktoberfest!

Join us for a vibrant celebration of Bavarian culture, featuring delicious German cuisine, amazing German entertainment, excellent beer, and activities for the whole family!

Kicking off the event is the traditional flag opening ceremony and ”tapping of the keg”, by Winter Park’s very own Mayor, Sheila DeCiccio!
German Cuisine by Hollerbach’s Restaurant!
Savor the BEST local authentic German dishes prepared by the renowned Hollerbach’s Restaurant. You know it, you like, you want it! It’s EVERYONE’s FAVORITE!

The Rotary Club of Winter Park will be serving the following Oktoberfest Libations:

3 Daughters Oktoberfest, Blue Springs Pilsner, and Sanford Brewing Hefeweizen

***Non- Alcohol Beverage will be available as well.

Entertainment by The Brussel Sprouts German Polka Band and Alp Horn!Central Florida’s favorite brussel sprouts bring the pulse of the event to life with our famous 9pc polka band, performing traditional polkas, pop tunes, and interactive party favorites!

Enjoy the unique sounds of the Alp Horn, our killer German vocalist/accordion player, and one crazy tuba soloist, all bringing in the spirit of Oktoberfest to Winter Park!

A Rich Tradition

Oktoberfest is a yearly family celebration steeped in Bavarian history. Here are some fascinating facts:

Origins: Oktoberfest began in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of the future King Ludwig, featuring horse racing, hunting, and fireworks.
Evolution: By the late 1800s, the carnival aspect was introduced to attract families, replacing horse racing and hunting with merry-go-rounds and other amusements.
Cultural Celebration: Oktoberfest celebrates old-world German culture with family gatherings, craft beer, German food, arts, crafts, dance, and polka music.
Tradition: The event traditionally begins when the Mayor taps the first keg, shouting “Ozapft is” (“it is tapped”), followed by a parade and music.
