Check Out Orlando Ballet doc ‘Sur Les Pointes’ at Cannes Short Film Festival

The Orlando Ballet will be featured at this year’s Cannes Short Film Festival this month. Sur Les Pointes is an Orlando Ballet documentary created by Full Sail University graduates and faculty. The documentary takes a look into the Orlando Ballet.

Sur Les Pointes Orlando Ballet Documentary

The film is produced by Full Sail alumnus Nehir Onay. It is a journey of Orlando Ballet and Creative Director Robert Hill. The documentary offers six minutes of stunning, behind-the-scenes footage.

Sur Les Pointes will be screened virtually as part of Cannes Short Film Festival from Sept. 13-21 as a block with two other documentaries here.

About The Orlando Ballet

Orlando Ballet School is only one of four professional national training academies accredited by American Ballet Theatre®.

It attracts more than 1,200 local and international students and in 2018, was named “Outstanding School” at the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix. The School’s two campuses provide year-round professional ballet training, as well as performance and touring opportunities, summer intensive training, workshops and masterclasses, and teacher training programs. October 6 – Harriett’s Orlando Ballet Centre

Orlando Ballet Presents Uncorked- where the Orlando Ballet dancers perform up close and personal in the new Harriett’s Orlando Ballet Centre. Artistic Director Robert Hill and a few Orlando Ballet dancers choreograph right in front of you.

Ticket availability will be limited due to socially distant seating. VIP tickets for Uncorked are available for $50 and include top, up-front seating and a glass of wine.

The Sleeping Beauty

The Sleeping Beauty is a classic fairytale as well as a classic ballet. The choreography is among the most challenging yet enchanting. Follow the story of Princess Aurora, the evil Carabosse, and charming Prince Désiré, who awakens Sleeping Beauty from her 100-year slumber.
