SUMMARY:Bárbara Pecorelli Opening Exhibition At Mills Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Bárbara Pecorelli Opening Exhibition At Mills Gallery\nMark your calendars for the Bárbara Pecorelli Opening Exhibition At Mills Gallery on February 24\, 2023\, Mills Art Gallery is pleased to present artwork on sale by artist Bárbara Pecorelli. Bárbara has developed a “sense of exploration with ceramic sculptures\, photography\, recycled/scrap material installations\, performances\, and paintings”. Her work’s one sole purpose is to bring environmental consciousness and mindful lifestyle transformations. \nArtist Bárbara Pecorelli at Mills Gallery\nBárbara Pecorelli is on display for the first time ever at Mills Art Gallery: Guarding the Garden. “Guarding the Garden” is an exhibition made up of sculptures that are made with recycled metals. It evokes to a search for what Bárbara has coined as “Conscious Art: an invitation to connect with being and essence\, letting go and surrendering to nature and beauty.” The materials that she used in her works include: metals\, and iron. These materials have been treated so that their impact is 100% ecological. Copper\, in addition to being an energy conductor\, eliminates 99.9% of viruses and bacteria present in the exposed places where they are found. Her work also combines academic principles of art\, human well-being as a philosophy\, nature and technology. \n  \n \n\nAbout the Art\n“I develop my talent with the greatest sense of responsibility\, honoring my creativity. Art has allowed me to understand my character in being able to give and create beyond pieces that can give a space a style. I have the ability to bring tangible creations\, concepts\, and projects that bring harmony to any environment and situation. My focus is in the direction of showing that no matter what we believe we are or what we want to do\, everything is possible with the art of subtlety” – Bárbara Pecorelli

SUMMARY:Orlando Vegan Market 2023
DESCRIPTION:Orlando Vegan Market\nCome by the Orlando Vegan Market with 20 vendors with a DJ or live music. come support local businesses with plenty of food\, drinks\, crafts\, and art. This is a free event that is family and pet friendly to support the community. \nPersimmon Hollow Brewing Company\nTwo guys who love to laugh and get a little weird\, Robbie and Andy met in 2011 and quickly realized a mutual passion for beer\, food\, fun\, and friendship. What began as a weekend hobby for the two grew quickly with medals won and friends clamoring to try their brews\, and before long the seeds of Persimmon Hollow Brewing had been sown. \nThose seeds grew\, and their dream became a reality in 2014 with the opening of the original brewery and taproom in DeLand\, FL. \nPersimmon Hollow Brewing became a place to gather for fun\, a place to escape the pressures of life\, a place for all people to feel welcomed\, and a place to gather to give back to the community through educational and environmental causes. Persimmon Hollow’s beer quickly found its way into taps and store shelves\, and today can be found throughout Florida.

SUMMARY:The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival 2023\nThe Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is one of the nation’s oldest\, largest\, and most prestigious outdoor art festivals. The festival debuted in March 1960 as a community project to bring local artists and art lovers together. It’s produced by an all-volunteer board and draws up to 300\,000 visitors each year. Close to 900 artists from around the world applied for this year’s event. An independent panel of three judges select the artists that will exhibit their works. The festival consistently ranks among the top juried fine-art festivals in the country. \nNational accolades include #3 in Art Fair SourceBook’s 2020 festival rankings and #6 in Sunshine Artist’s Top 200 from 2010-2020\, a 10-year ranking of the nation’s most profitable art shows. In ArtFairCalendar’s list of Best Art Fairs we rank #6 in America and #1 in the South. The festival features a wide variety of fine arts and crafts in the following categories: clay\, digital art\, drawings and pastels\, fiber\, glass\, graphics and printmaking\, jewelry\, leather\, metal\, mixed media-2D\, mixed media-3D\, painting\, photography\, sculpture\, watercolor and wood as well as an Emerging Artists category. \nMusic and Entertainment\nAgain\, this year\, the traditional Friday Night Concert has been moved to the Saturday before the festival\, March 11\, and will be a kick-off event for the exciting festival week. Additionally\, during the three days of the festival there will be soft\, contemporary music at the stage in north Central Park. \n \nDonations\nSince 1960\, The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival has been a community leader in bringing art and the community together and has created wonderful memories for its visitors through the years. Donations to the foundation will help finance programs created to promote art appreciation and education through children’s programming at the annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival\, our scholarship programs at Rollins College and the University of Central Florida and other community outreach programs throughout the year.

SUMMARY:Pirate Seafood Festival @ Longwood
DESCRIPTION:Pirate Seafood Festival @ Longwood\nJoin us for the Pirate Seafood Festival @ Longwood – a family-friendly weekend packed with unique entertainment\, great food\, and lots of fun. Come out to Longwood’s Pirate Seafood Festival at Reiter Park\, 311 W Warren Ave.\, on Saturday\, March 25 from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday\, March 26 from 10 am to 5 pm for some pirate fun. Hang out with a mermaid or two! A huge variety of SEAFOOD is on the menu but you’ll find great food for the landlubbers too. Free to attend \nLongwood\, FL\nLongwood has been a destination point for Florida travelers since coastal tribes used The Senator\, an ancient bald cypress\, to find their way overland from the St. Johns River to trading grounds at Spring Hammock. This was what the wilderness sanctuary early tribes found when they escaped inland from the Spanish. Later\, when Creeks and others from the tribes of the Southeast United States fled into Spanish Florida and settled new villages among escaped African slaves\, they became the Seminoles. \nThe word “Seminole” is adopted from Spanish and Creek terms for people who live away from others. The Senator\, at more than 3000 years old\, is easily Central Florida’s oldest tourist attraction and can still be seen today at Big Tree Park in Seminole County’s Spring Hammock Preserve near Longwood.
