Tickets are on sale now for this exclusive event happening September 9\, 2023 at the Orlando Museum of Art. Enjoy a vibrant and exciting social night of food\, wine\, margaritas\, live music\, and dance. \nMéxico Canta! is the first of several unique lead-up events to Opera Orlando’s MainStage production of Frida\, which will be performed at Steinmetz Hall at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts\, January 26 and 28\, 2024. \nMéxico Canta! will feature a lively performance by the Mexican Marimba Ensemble in the museum’s main gallery during the pre-show reception with Mexican-inspired cuisine and margaritas provided by Frontera Cocina Mexicana. Then\, Mariachi Nuevo Guadalajara will lead guests into the museum’s auditorium for a memorable performance of dancing and singing by Mexico Lindo Folkloric Ballet Orlando and Mexican-American soprano Cecilia Violetta López\, offering attendees a sneak peek of her performance as the title role in Frida\, which she will return to Orlando to sing in January. \nThe event will also showcase contemporary paintings from Hispanic artists throughout Central Florida who were inspired by Kahlo and her artwork and sponsored by Casa de Mexico. Hand-made folk dresses donated by Cabetcal from the Mexican state of Oaxaca will also be on display. These beautiful and detailed dresses are typical of the ones Frida wore as a connection to her mother’s heritage. \nTickets\nTickets for the event are $75 and space is limited to only 200 guests for this special event. Her innate sense of color results in playful and inventive color palettes. \nGallery CERO\nGallery CERO is owned by Bill and Mary Weinaug. They have always had a deep appreciation and passion for the arts and sustainable living. More than a decade ago\, they bought a forgotten old dilapidated marina on an incredible river in Central Florida with the goal of weaving these two passions together. Wekiva Island was born. \nThe mission for the property was to create a fun place for people to learn about and connect with nature\, while serving as a beacon of sustainability. Gallery CERO was always part of the long-term plan for Wekiva Island. From the beginning\, the business has provided monthly art classes for the public\, as well as an annual elite invitational plein-air event\, the Wekiva Paint Out. Most recently\, the Weinaug’s started The Great American Paint In\, a project to document the 2020 pandemic through art.

The Fall Festival will be held on October 14th & 15th\, 2023 at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. \nAttendees will have the choice to receive a wristband\, which will allow you to enjoy everything the 38th Annual Fall Festival has to offer. This includes access to our hayride\, dunk tank\, paint-a-pumpkin (or paint-a-pot)\, face painting\, corn kernel pit\, and bounce house! \nFamilies and children can look forward to exploring the gardens\, seeing the farm animals\, listening to live music\, mesmerizing balloon artists\, and the incredible artistry of a chainsaw artist. Plus\, don’t miss the opportunity to support local farming with JS2 Cattle\, where you can purchase high-quality\, locally raised beef. \nWe will also offer Hayride-only tickets. This provides an option for those who prefer not to partake in the additional Fall Festivities but still want to enjoy the scenic views of our 33-acre nursery! Will you be able to spot the Scarecrow walking on stilts? \nThe nursery will also have plenty of food and beverage options from some of your favorite Orlando food trucks! Whether you’re in the mood for boba or barbeques\, we will have your taste-buds covered. Everyone is free to walk around the nursery\, shop for your favorite plants\, eat delicious food\, and have a great time. \nParking is free at Lukas Nursery and overflow parking will be at Masters Academy across the street.
