Fringe does not issue ticket refunds. \nYou can find more information about the festival by visiting www.orlandofringe.org \nWhat Is Fringe?\nThe Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival is a 14-day immersive cultural experience held this year in-person from May 17-30\, and featuring hundreds of ticketed theatrical performances and a free outdoor music festival. Loch Haven Park serves as the main campus for the festival\, though in recent years programming has expanded to venues in nearby neighborhoods. \nThe festival unites local\, national\, and international artists with the Central Florida community\, creating a uniquely diverse arts experience. This year\, DigiFringe is returning\, a 14-day digital festival taking place June 3-17. \nThis event features high-quality recordings of every show at the in-person festival plus additional shows presented by artists that could not travel to Orlando in person. SUMMARY:Forest Bathing with Julie at Mead Botanical Garden
DESCRIPTION:Forest Bathing with Julie at Mead Botanical Garden\n\nForest Bathing with Julie at Mead Botanical Garden – This is NOT a naked bath experience. We will be fully clothed. \n\nForest Bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of ‘shinrin yoku’. Shinrin means forest and yoku means bath. It’s a process where we experience the forest (nature) through our sense. It’s also scientifically been proven that the trees release a chemical called phytoncide. It’s used to protect them from harmful bugs and germs\, and helps us do the same in our bodies. \nRelax. Let Go. Release. Give Nature…and Receive. ⁣\nTime in Nature is essential to ground and embody the goodness Life has to offer. ⁣It is uplifts the mood\, boosts the immune system\, and relieves stress. \n🌳 We’ll sit with nature and listen. ⁣\n🌳 We’ll meditation\, journal and give into Nature’s invitation. ⁣\n🌳 We’ll Forest Bath. Exchange breaths with the trees\, and receive their healing.⁣ \nAre you wondering about something in your Life? Or looking for answers\, but haven’t had the time to sit still and let the answers come?⁣\nDo you just want to feel good?⁣\nDoes hanging out with trees\, the wind and sun sound like an amazing time to you?⁣<\nInterested in boosting your immune system\, reducing stress\, taking a deep breath\, and an overall sense of well-being? \nIf you answered Yes to any of these questions\, this is the event for you. Join us as Julie guides you to listen and spend intentional time with the plants\, the wind\, the rocks\, the water\, the birds and the general landscape of Mead Botanical Garden. \nYou’ll be guided through this experience by Julie\, plant-based nutritionist\, herbalist and shamanic practitioner. She recently moved from California where she regularly spent time in the forest and the plants. \nPLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING:\n1. A journal\n2. A blanket or yoga mat\, something to sit on\n3. Bug repellent\, just in case \n\nMeeting location: Please meet a few minutes prior to class start time in front of the public restrooms located next to the parking lot. \n\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Opening Reception: (un)Common Faith
DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception: (un)Common Faith\nHear from and meet the featured artist and curator\, and enjoy the A&H’s beautifully lit campus at night as you explore the new exhibition! The party will also feature live music by Big Ron Betts\, food by Brock’s BBQ\, and a bar. This exhibition will feature the religious and spiritual works of A&H’s founder\, J. André Smith\, paired with the religious works of Missionary Mary L. Proctor. \nUsing found objects from her junkyard\, Missionary Mary crafts three-dimensional works and paintings assembled from buttons\, mirrors\, jewelry\, doors\, and other various trinkets. Some works are inspired by bible scripture and others by memories of her grandmother or her childhood. Most include written messages of spiritual truths or life lessons. \nDuring his life\, Smith sought to bridge the gap between different communities of color\, like Maitland and Eatonville\, through his religious works and to bring to the forefront the common aspects and shared articles of faith. \nThe conversation between these two artists will examine Smith’s interest in\, and fascination with\, spirituality and diverse belief systems. \nTICKETS – This event is FREE for all attendees\, thanks to an anonymous donor! (Bring your friends and family!) Optional donations of any size are gladly accepted while reserving your free tickets\, and helps us continue expanding our free programming. Get your tickets here. \nArt & History Museums of Maitland\nArt & History Museums of Maitland (A&H) is a premier Central Florida cultural destination and community gathering place\, combining the best of both art and history.
