SUMMARY:ADORE Pet Rescue Monthly Adoption Event
DESCRIPTION:ADORE Pet Rescue Monthly Adoption Event\nADORE Pet Rescue in collaboration with Pet Supermarket of Oviedo is hosting an in person adoption event. Come out to meet some of our adorable pets available for adoption. This is an inside event where you can do some shopping and hang out with us. \nVolunteers will be there to answer your questions about adoption\, volunteering\, fostering\, donations and which pets we have available. \nWhy Adopt?\nThe need for adoptions has tripled since the Covid epidemic struck. \nClose to 6.5 million pets enter animal shelters in the United States each year. Unfortunately\, due to overpopulation and lack of resources\, close to 5\,500 animals are killed in shelters every day. In essence\, fostering pets isn’t just a beautiful experience\, but it’s also keeping pets alive. When you choose to become a foster pet parent or new owner\, you’re taking home an animal that would otherwise stay at a shelter. \nADORE Pet Rescue\n(ADORE) Animals Deserving of Rescue Everywhere\, Inc. is a not for profit IRS designated public charity under section 501(c)(3) headquartered in Orlando\, FL. Doing business as ADORE\, we are dedicated to saving\, supporting\, and giving comfort to homeless\, at risk\, and abused animals\, including the medically needy. We maintain and foster core values of compassion\, kindness\, transparency\, honesty\, integrity and responsiveness – to the animals\, our partners in rescue and to each other. \nADORE Pet Rescue\, headquartered in Orlando\, FL\, is a non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving\, supporting\, and giving comfort to homeless\, at risk\, and abused animals.

All funds granted are restricted to the use specified in the grant application. \nOur History\nMonisha and Anthony first became involved with Central Florida animal welfare in February 2003 when they adopted their first dog from the SPCA of Central Florida. He was a 2-year old English foxhound whose family decided they couldn’t take care of him anymore. They named him Franklin after Benjamin Franklin\, whose statue is perched on a bench at the University of Pennsylvania where her and her husband lunched daily during our ten years of school in Philadelphia. they were so grateful that Franklin had a safe place to stay while he was waiting to be adopted that thy decided they wanted to become more involved with animal welfare.
