Tod is a long-time fixture in the local literary scene. He’s been a journalist at the Orlando Sentinel for 16 years, and he’s the founder and co-host of Loose Lips – Orlando‘s hottest news-themed literary reading series – which takes place on the first Tuesday of each month at Lil Indies.
~Admission is free. There is no cover charge or fee of any kind.
~Newbies or seasoned veterans welcome. There’s no experience or skill level required. Come in and share some of your work, whether it’s an essay, short story, poetry, part of a novel, radio play, screenplay, or limericks.
~Please keep your reading/presentation to 5 or 6 minutes (or about 1,000 words). After that, we throw things. No, really.
~A sign-up sheet is available starting at 7:00 PMish. Mingle for a few minutes, grab some beverages if you like. The food menu is currently limited.
~If you don’t want to read, you don’t have to — you can chill and listen and support your fellow writers.
Covid Note: We encourage ALL attendees to be vaxxed and boosted. We will have extra masks available for those who need them. Hand sanitizer will also be available, as well as alcohol wipes for cleaning mics between presenters.
