The Year of the Tiger Lunar New Year Festival 2022 was organized by the Parish of Philliphe Phan Van Minh on February 5 and 6, 2022.
Every year, the Spring Festival is a festival that attracts thousands of Vietnamese and visitors. This is an opportunity for our family to gather and enjoy the taste of Vietnam through pure Vietnamese cuisine and traditional performances.
The wave of displacement brought some Vietnamese to settle in Orlando in the sunny Florida state. Along with taking care of a peaceful career, taking care of spiritual life is a big concern for many newcomers. The church has, the father has, but the language is different, so there are more or less limitations in listening to the preaching of God’s word. People want to find a little taste of home.
On Saturday, September 29, 2007, the Vietnamese parish celebrated its first mass at the first Vietnamese church in Orlando at 15W. Par St.
On Saturday, November 3, 2007, with the participation of more than 1000 faithful, deacons and religious men and women, representatives of other religions, 28 priests of parishes around the region, Bishop Thomas G. Wenski, Bishop of the Diocese of Orlando, solemnly celebrated the dedication of the cathedral . From now on, a new address of a Vietnamese church has been recorded, where we can hear the chanting in the voice of the homeland.
500 Catholic families with about 1800 parishioners, the parish continues to work with associations:
