Bring Your Dog To DogFest Orlando For A Great Cause

A nationally known event, DogFest supports the mission of the Canine Companions® organization. There heroic mission is tp better the lives of anyone with limiting disabilities. Thankfully due to events such as DogFest and donations, they are able to help people by providing expertly trained service dogs at no cost. In truth, service dogs make a profound impact through the jobs they are trained to carry out. They can do many things such as opening doors, picking up dropped items, alerting to sounds and many more important duties.

How to Attend The Event

DogFest is meant to bring friends, families and dogs together for a worthy cause and wags of fun. This event features a day of in-person or virtual fun if you so choose. Registration is free and fundraising is encouraged in order to further the Canine Companions® noteworthy cause. Celebrate your unique human-canine bond and come out on April 17th from 9am – 12pm. Whether your pup is a service dog, working dog or the family pet, celebrate them in a way that’s loads of fun.

More About Canine Companions®

Canine Companions transforms the lives of people with disabilities by providing expertly trained service dogs. The dogs have the ability to perform practical tasks that enhance independence and reduce reliance on others. They aren’t just the eyes and ears, hands and legs of their human partners. In truth they are also goodwill ambassadors and often, someone’s best friend. According to the U.S. Census, nearly 1 in 4 people in the U.S. have a disability. While it costs approximately $50,000 to raise and train every Canine Companions service dog and provide ongoing support to the human-canine team, each dog is provided to the recipient completely FREE of charge. Canine Companions has placed over 6,600 service dogs, but more than 400 people with disabilities are still waiting for a match.
