The April 17 celebration is in recognition of internationally celebrated World Art Day and is part of the month-long Arts in April initiative to provide support to local artists and art organizations that have suffered financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while
providing color, beauty, and entertainment to the community to enjoy “The World Outside.”
Activities throughout the month include the four downtown art exhibitions, the display of art for purchase at merchants’ businesses, community art classes, live performances of Godspell at the historic Garden Theatre, as well as art sessions on Sat., April 3 and 10 at the Farmers Market. Arts in April is part of the City of Winter Garden’s Love Local campaign to help local businesses and organizations recover from the COVID-19 pandemic
