Ruth’s Chris’s Steakhouse Features Belle Glos Wines in Second Dinner of 2019 Tastemaker Series

Ruth’s Chris Steak House will hold its second dinner in the 2019 Taste Maker series by showcasing Belle Glos wines. The Taste Maker series provides guests with the rare opportunity to sample some of the finest wines in the world alongside several courses thoughtfully crafted by Ruth’s Chris executive chefs.

On select dates in early April, locations nationwide will host an exclusive five-course dining experience featuring pairings from the California winery. Belle Glos is part of the Copper Cane Wines & Provisions family of brands, which is owned by fifth generation winemaker Joe Wagner –wellknown in the wine industry for his signature style of bold and complex Pinot Noirs.

The TasteMaker dinner will include Belle Glos favorites such as Oeil de Perdrix, Dairyman, Clark & Telephone, Las Alturas, and Eulenloch. The Ruth’s Chris menu is nothing short of exquisite featuring a main course of Filet Mignon topped with gorgonzola and caramelized onions. With four more courses, make sure to leave room for the dessert – a Dark Chocolate Cherry Brownie topped with Cherry Belle Glos Eulenloch Coulis, vanilla ice cream, and almond bark.

The April dinner with Belle Glos Wines is the second event in the 2019 series. Belle Glos showcases distinctive Pinot Noirs produced from California’s most noteworthy coastal wine-growing regions. While each Belle Glos vineyard lies near the Pacific Ocean, the climate differences, varying amounts of fog, wind, sunlight, and soil type at each site create uniquely different expressions of the Pinot Noir grape.

“We are thrilled to partner with Belle Glos Wines for this TasteMaker Dinner showcasing some of the world’s best Pinot Noirs.” said Abdel Aleman, Vice President of Culinary Development for Ruth’s Chris Steak House.” Joe Wagner and the winemakers of Belle Glos have been able to showcase a variety of different flavor profiles of the Pinot Noir varietal. Their dedication and innovation inspired us when creating this menu for our guests to enjoy.”

Aleman’s favorite dish on the menu is the evening’s main course: Filet Mignon topped with gorgonzola and caramelized onions, paired with a glass of Belle Glos “Dairyman.” Aleman shares, “The caramelized onions in this dish are actually reduced using “Dairyman”. This is a technique called bridging which brings depth into the complementary flavors of this pairing.” Accompaniments to the main course will be Pearl Barley Risotto and Roasted Spring Vegetables.

Leading up to the main course, guests will first enjoy a glass of BelleGlos Pinot Noir Blanc “Oeil de Perdrix”, a limited-offering rosémade from Pinot Noir grapes, paired alongside a Roasted Heirloom Carrot Salad with quinoa, goat cheese, and beet dressing. Next in the lineup is a glass of Belle Glos “Clark & Telephone.” The flavors of a Chorizo, White Bean and Spinach Soup will bring out the fruity aromas of wild blackberry, raspberry, and cedar in this wine. The third course is a Baked Goat Cheese Crostini topped with apple, fennel, and maple-glazed bacon. The rich complexity of this dish is enhanced by a glass of Bella Glos“Las Alturas,” a wine whose abundant fruit is beautifully balanced by firm acidity.

The evening will conclude with a Dark Chocolate Cherry Brownie, topped withCherryBelle GlosEulenloch Coulis, vanilla ice cream, and almond bark. Dessert is paired with a glass of Belle Glos “Eulenloch,” a lush Pinot Noir with ripe fruit and low acidity. With dessert, guests can also enjoy their selection of coffee or tea.

Seating for each dinner is limited so guests are encouraged to plan ahead. For reservations and more information about upcoming Ruth’s TasteMaker Dinners, please visit www.ruthschris.com/TasteMakerDinners.
