A Quick Guide to Arts and Culture in Winter Park

When it comes to Winter Park, what comes to mind? Is it Rollins College? The shops on Park Ave? Perhaps it’s the gorgeous green parks dotted around the Winter Park neighborhoods. Simply put, Winter Park delivers something for everyone, especially the connoisseur of art, history, and culture. Winter Park is the city of arts and culture, cherishing its traditional scale and charm while building a healthy and sustainable future for all generations. Winter Park is considered to be a premier urban village in the sunshine state. It has a wonderful mix of old world charm (think elegant homes, quaint bricked streets, extensive tree canopies) mixed with upscale shopping experiences and urban flair.

Exploring Arts & Culture in Winter Park

There is so much art and culture in the town of Winter Park, that an Arts & Culture Alliance was formed as a result. The Arts & Culture Alliance was formed as a subcommittee of the city’s Public Art Advisory Board that is committed to collecting, preserving and interpreting notable works of art and implementing educational opportunities concerning public art for the benefit of Winter Park residents and visitors.

Art provides the canvas at the Alfond Inn at Rollins College. Before you reach your luxury guest room or suite, you’ll see works from the Cornell Fine Arts Museum throughout the elegantly appointed lobby, lounge and restaurant. Then take in the sun on the Alfond’s lush lawns and elevated pool veranda.
