The spookiest time of the year is right around the corner. Have you decided what to do, since trick-or-treating is out of the picture (Thank you Covid)? Here are a few fun activities right on International Drive that are safe and fun for your family this Halloween.


A Night of Horror

A good scare can always be fun, and this Fall, that’s exactly what you’ll find at Universal Studios Florida’s Halloween Horror Nights! Running through November 3rd, enjoy the adventures that await you at this beloved park, along with haunted houses, streets full of terrifying characters, and outrageous live shows that will surely have you spooked! This year Halloween Horror Nights feature more haunted houses than ever before, including one based on popular Netflix series Stranger Things, the new Halloween 4 movie, and even The Poltergeist! Enjoy sinister scare zones, run from mad laughter that echoes through the night sky, and brace yourself as you exhibit bravery with each turn you take at this exhilarating attraction!

A Spooktacular Time

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is an event that runs through October 28th and is included with park admission to Orlando’s SeaWorld! Get the chance to meet everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends including Elmo, The Count, and the Cookie Monster, watch some not-so-spooky live shows, and trick or treat for candy and goodies throughout the park! With highlights including; Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween, Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast, Penelope’s Garden Party, Mermaid Grotto, trick or treating, and a Halloween dance party at an event that proves to be an ocean of fun for everyone in the family!

Halloween Selfie’s with at Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds has the perfect opportunity for you to get the ultimate Halloween Selfie this year! Stop by through Halloween, October 31st, to see everyone’s favorite fright Tom Hanks as David S. Pumpkins doing his thing with the Skeletons who are part of it…whatever “it” is! Dressed in his infamous pumpkin suit, the original Saturday Night Live character is one that will only be at Madame Tussauds for a limited time – and one you won’t want to miss!

FUNtober leading up to a Fun-O-Ween

Main Event is drumming up a scary good time for its guests all month long. Serving up killer treats like their new Graveyard Gelato & Zombie IV Bags… some would say their Halloween themed menu items are “to die for.” But, the fun doesn’t end there! On October 27th they’ll be hosting their very own Fun-O-Ween party, an event that will have all kinds of family fun activities! From costume contests, trick or treating, and Halloween themed face painting, to Halloween-themed bowling, and other activities with opportunities to win awesome prizes throughout the day!

Are you a comic fanatic?

If your family is comic crazed, Gods & Monsters has the perfect Halloween festivities for you to get into at their Halloween Comic Fest! On Saturday, October 26th, enjoy a 15% off storewide Halloween sale, plus your choice of two free Halloween Comicfest Comics. Tell your kiddos to wear their totally rad Halloween costume to get extra treats and a raffle ticket for a chance to win special prizes while they play the day away at one of the activity tables.

The morning event is free to the public, and is a good time for the whole family; but, when the sun goes down, it’s all about the adults indulging in some necessary Halloween fun! Head to Gods & Monsters post-apocalyptic bar, VAULT 5421, from 8 pm to 1 am, enjoy a costume party and contest.

Themed drink specials, cosplay bartenders and cage-dancers, spooky tunes, and videos playing on the big screens are sure to keep the spooky fun festivities going strong! Plus, if you show up early, from 5 – 8 pm enjoy scary good happy hour specials and the chance to enjoy an escape experience at ESCAPE Vault 5421!

Get all the details and plan to celebrate Halloween like Gods & Monsters! Through hands-on activities at Skeletons Halloween Forensics. You’ll learn to “read” the features of a human skull. Learn to determine: age, sex, physical trauma, and/or illness. Ending with the ultimate test, determining what happened and whether it was accidental or a murder.

The event will be happening on October 26th, with two separate event times. One for teens and one for adults. To be a part of Halloween Jr. Forensics, get to Skeletons for 1 pm, and if you’re an adult plan to arrive by 5 pm.

Please note that the activities in both the teen and adult events involve replica human skulls cast from real trauma cases and personal discretion is advised.

Freak Show: A 13 Days of Halloween Event

This event will feature live performances and sideshow acts from “Your favorite socially inappropriate clown” Sid Savage. So come dressed in your freak show best, and enjoy the Carn-evil atmosphere. Tickets for this event are $20 and go on sale along with tickets to all of the other events on Sunday, August 23rd at 8 pm

Halloween Craft at Green Acres Farm Oviedo

Get creative making paper plate masks – we can’t wait to see what you come up with. All supplies will be included. This including paper plates, paint, construction paper, glue, and more. So, just bring your kiddos and come on out for some fun. Anytime between 11 am and 1 pm, but make sure you leave time to visit with our friendly farm animals.

Children’s Safety Village – Trunk or Treat Drive-Thru Event

The Children’s Safety Village 9th Annual Trunk or Treat Drive-Thru event will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2020, between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm as a safe alternative for families to traditional Trick-or-Treating during the current norm of social distancing. This Drive-Thru event is FREE and OPEN to the community as space allows.

Children may dress up in costume but it’s not necessary. Community partners, businesses, and organizations will decorate the trunks of their cars and distribute “treats” to the children. Along with important information on safety or goods/services to the adults in the vehicle. Vehicles will travel, at a slow speed, on a pre-planned route on the Safety Village’s 8-acre complex. Receiving items from vendors and sponsors alike. Attendees must be in a vehicle. No foot traffic will be allowed by guests. We ask that you only pass thru one time per family to allow everyone the chance to attend.
